While in college trying to gain weight for football, I suffered a stroke. I realized then that I had a minimal understanding of food choices and nutritional products. I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic and lost my ability to taste foods in my 30s.  Once learning the cost of medicines and daily routines as a diabetic, and the increased chances of kidney failure in my 30s. I decided on another path, which was changing my food choices!

Thinking it over, I also realized that my family history of diabetes and high blood pressure might give me a chance to be an inspiration to people of all ages.
I immediately volunteered at a local high school to teach exercise and nutrition to empower students. I created my non-profit, FoodForFuel (F3), to expand my opportunities for providing educational and motivational tools, such as success stories from my clients.

I have current clients whom I have trained for 10 to 25 years, with weight loss ranging from 20 to 100 pounds. As a personal trainer and nutritionist, my workouts incorporate a blend of education, motivation, inspiration, and fun.

I have assisted clients as they experienced a variety of health crises, such as cancer treatments, heart procedures, and sports injuries, as part of their recovery. I have created programs to help low-income kids and parents determine if their child is pre-diabetic, resulting in reducing the chance of becoming diabetic! I have clients with weight-loss success stories ranging from 20 to 100 pounds. I have a 75-year-old client who is now leading her yoga class, practicing a routine of exercise and yoga four times a week.
